We're in 6/6 Now, Almost Halfway in 2025

Portrait of Three Dalmatians

2025 was probably the best year for us, as a lot was accomplished, a lot got published (longer articles than in prior years), I slept longer and better than I did in the past 20 years (I used to sleep 6 hours a night, this year I finally increased that), and traffic in the sites (this and the sister site) is higher in 2025 than in any recent recollection (maybe it was higher a decade or more ago when the Web didn't suck as much).

People who have no impact won't face any perils like SLAPPs. The SLAPPs are a symbol or symptom of success, influence, and recognition.

In 2025 we seem to have really pissed off Microsoft, which apparently wanted to "knife the baby", seeing that we attract whistleblowers, we make correct predictions about mass layoffs at Microsoft (there's a lot more coming XBox's way), and we generally shut the lid on SLAPPs it throws our way. The SLAPPs are clearly backfiring [1, 2], not just on Microsoft, the Microsofters and the lousy law firm they leverage (it's disintegrating!) but also on the top-level management at Microsoft. Whose lousy idea was this? It was doomed to fail right from the very beginning.

In 2015 similar things happened at the EPO; back then I didn't sleep much as I was working to expose corruption at the Office and there were days when we published more than 10 articles (per say) about the EPO alone! So much got accomplished back then and global media linked to our articles, offering accolades and more. Even politicians in the European Parliament cited us.

This coming Tuesday the sister site turns 21 (SLAPPs against it were withdrawn last year), last night it wrote about Windows falling to 10% (or less) "market share" in about 50 nations, and we're finalising preparations for the party, which includes food, alcoholic beverages, and lots of decorations. If you'd like to join the party, then contact us in IRC.
