There's this bunch of news this week about more German authorities dumping Microsoft and moving to GNU/Linux. The assessors of Web usage help show the impact:

Unlike some very poor countries, Germany and the EU are a considerable source of income to Microsoft. Losing those places will place Microsoft in the bin chute. There's a considerable number of layoffs coming. █
