Google News is rewarding sites that misuse LLMs and cheat the Web
Today's "Slopwatch" will be relatively short as I spent a lot of the day working on the fish tank, where there are now two bottom-feeding eel-like scum-eating creatures.
Speaking of bottom-feeding and scum, watch what this "Linux" slopfarm has released:
Even the headline alone gives away its sloppiness. It's mindless rubbish, just like this one:
Ransomware is predominantly a Windows issue, but always trust slopfarms powered by Microsoft LLMs to help distort perceptions.
This one has just been boosted by Google News, even though the text is 100% fake and the image is just slop:
So the slopfarm speaks of some malicious program out there, associating it with "Linux" because it can, in theory, run on it (it can run on other operating systems too). This is how much intelligence those things have: none. █
