There's No Obligation to Speak to Anybody
With some exceptions (like a Court expecting/ordering a reply [1, 2, 3]), you're under no obligation to speak to anybody. Even speaking back to someone is typically a choice.
About a decade ago (probably more) I told RMS that speaking to Microsoft Lunduke was (and would continue to be) a liability. I didn't tell him the same about RT (Russia Today), even if I felt that way. Back then the US still had some diplomatic relationships with Russia and Putin even traveled to the US.
Over the years Microsoft Lunduke did try to communicate to me (or with me). I never responded. I knew all along what Microsoft Lunduke really was. He has even gotten worse in recent years. His target audience is something like 4Chan [1, 2].
People's attitude/judgements vary. Principles or reluctance to associate also vary. It's a choice. You can say nothing or say "no". When Russian media outlets (like RT and Sputnik) invited me I didn't even bother replying. I didn't want to associate with the Kremlin, even if I had a chance to be on TV. After a while they didn't even bother communicating to me anymore. When someone like Microsoft Lunduke, who didn't pass the smell test, tried talking to me I also ignored (always). Then you have people like "bkuhn", who don't mind associating with toxic people (in pursuit of audience). Then he acts all surprised:
What a hypocrite "bkuhn" is... and no wonder Software Freedom Conservancy (SFC) Inc. is deep in the red. Even right wingers came to regret this association.
"bkuhn" is just another "virtue-signalling" millionaire. I never trusted him one bit. His strident attitude would later prove a liability to Moglen, Stallman, and many others. He's obstructing critics of IBM (we covered this before) and seeking money from large corporations, including Microsoft.
Maybe once upon a time (around the 1990s) "bkuhn" had principles. Then he "discovered" money and made an opportunistic splinter group.
The very fact that "bkuhn" is till spending time in social control media says a lot about his poor judgment. █
