IBM's Cuts Are Worsening Security in GNU/Linux
IBM is still run by the same idiot who proposed taking over Red Hat

Today we loaded in a new kernel and my laptop eclipsed 990 days of uptime. We also grappled with some malicious site traffic, which slowed us down a bit and caused some timeouts. Tomorrow we take it up a notch (start of the Business Week here in the UK) and we see a lot of evidence of secret mass layoffs at IBM (many people's "last day" following PIPs or "next step" or whatnot).
If you work for IBM (or Red Hat or HashiCorp or Confluent), then you probably know what we're talking about. Get in touch with us, we'd like to know the details. This has profound impact on GNU/Linux.
If IBM betrays promises (or those it made empty promises to), then the public needs to know. █
