  Yes, the reasons are obvious - you run from any criticism. You cannot handle it because you know you have no basis for most of your claims. You make things up and spew insults and accusations you cannot support.

  The above is not much compared to the volume preceding that on a similar time scale. Trust me, I have done this for 7 years or so.

  Um, the above is just the tip of the iceberg. There have been other stories, blogs, webinars, etc. Plus there have been all sorts of YouTube vidoes as Novell takes advantages of new ways to communicate with customers.
  
  Plus, if you look a the timeframe from November or so of last year until April of this year, not much could be said during that time because of the Attachmate acquisition. This is a fact. SEC rules.
  
  Beyond that, I've been following Novell for 15 years, and I can say that the amount of information coming from them over the past six months or so if anything is an increase over what Novell has done over the past few years under former management.

  Not many people are using openSUSE? How did you arrive at this conclusion? Do you have independent studies you can cite?
  
  Also, not sure what you mean by "radio silence from Novell." Novell made a ton of announcements at BrainShare which only ended a month ago. I wouldn't expect to see many new product announcements so soon after BrainShare. So, is it radio silence, or just normal actions? The logical conclusion is normal actions.

  I have watched Novell and SUSE for many years. They get more obscure all the time. The news volume supports my assertions.

  There is nothing obscure about what has happened with Novell over the past 30 days. If anything, Novell has been active on uploading videos to YouTube so that people who weren't at Brainshare can still see everything that was demoed, announced, etc at Brainshare.

  Ok, if you're talking about a timespan of more than 30 days, then your post is definitely inaccurate. There has been a ton of information coming from Novell throughout the year this year announcing new products, product roadmaps, Attachmate's plans with Novell, etc. Definitely no radio silence at all--unless you're simply turning your radio off to avoid hearing the message.

  You have adjusted your time span to encompass Novell's annual event and OpenSUSE's almost annual release (8 months apart). That's subjective. Look at one year.

  You can't look at the past year, as there were a number of SEC rules which prevented statements from being made while the acquisition was in progress. But as soon as the acquisition completed, news started flowing out of Novell. Attachmate made it very clear, very quickly, just how important the Novell BU is to them.
