EPO Management is Trying to Violate the EPC and Justify Its Illegal Software Patent Grants During a Pandemic's Peak

EPO management, acting like a bunch of unaccountable tyrants, socially distances itself even further from the Rule of Law and from European society

Mask behind the mask
Have these "gangsters in suits" no sense of shame left?

Summary: The EPO's "Mafia" (cabal of grossly under-qualified friends who put each other in positions of power and hire violent goons) is putting a "mask" over people's faces whilst attacking the law and attacking EPO staff to squeeze the goose (plunder the EPO until it's defunct and obsolete)

THERE is something very disturbing happening in EPOnia while Munich -- and Bavaria as a whole -- is in lock-down. The press isn't reporting on any of this and the little coverage that mentions the EPO is misleading nonsense about the UPC.

"The press isn't reporting on any of this and the little coverage that mentions the EPO is misleading nonsense about the UPC."EPOnia has updated this "news" page (warning: epo.org link) about "Coronavirus (COVID-19)" and wants us to think/speak/hear about nothing else; as usual, look behind the curtain. The EPO has plenty to hide right now. It has just tweeted again: "Customers, external partners & potential visitors, keep an eye on this page for the latest coronavirus-related developments at the EPO..."

Notice the use of the word "Customers". Yes, like "Clients..."

Maybe the EPO actually believes it is a business now, a special monopoly for the whole of Europe. With "Customers..."

These "tweets" (like the above) and numerous superficial page "updates" per day help distract from the assault on the EPC (occasionally mentioned in recent tweets). There were several tweets of this kind so far this month and several pages to that effect. We're only being told that there's a consultation about the EPC (nothing about the nature of it) and all sorts of stuff about COVID. There's loads of tweets also advocating software patents and we'll come to that in a moment, having already mentioned it several times so far this month.

European Patent Office (EPO) management, notably António Campinos and Battistelli's prodigy child Bergot, did other nasty things during this pandemic. They attacked the staff [1, 2, 3]. Quite the timing!

"There's loads of tweets also advocating software patents and we'll come to that in a moment, having already mentioned it several times so far this month."Did anybody in the media mention this? Nope, just us. Not even SUEPO mentioned this publicly. Seeing the threats made by Bergot et at, who can blame SUEPO? It's not a good time to be unemployed or 'in limbo'...

Even just flying back home is hard, dangerous, or impossible.

The FFII's President has just noted that the "EPO organised a public consultation over its illegal examination guidelines, in the middle of a pandemic @EPOorg there are other priorities."

"I am writing an answer to the EPO public consultation," he told me two days ago, with "deadline [for submissions] by midnight..."

"SACEPO will decide on the comments," he told me, and "SACEPO is Siemens and all patent guys [...] read the green in 3.3.1 Artificial intelligence and machine learning [...] Artificial intelligence and machine learning are bad..."

Those are software patents riding hype waves...

"The police would get involved even if EPO workers merely congregated in front of the EPO's buildings."The efforts to 'legalise' software patents in Europe have been ramped up lately, with very many EPO "tweets" to that effect. They came up with a bunch of new buzzwords and nonsensical terms -- nonsense that's later inspiring the USPTO to do the same to bypass 35 U.S.C. ۤ 101 and fake 'production' (granting more patents than ever before, even ones that the Patent Trial and Appeal Board and Federal Circuit are certain to reject, sometimes even district courts in places like Texas).

In summary, the EPO is pushing forth or taking up a notch its attacks on the law and on its staff. How perfect a timing now that thousands of Europeans die each day from a plague and almost every European is in de facto "home arrest" (or close to that). Protests aren't possible and likely not legal, either. The police would get involved even if EPO workers merely congregated in front of the EPO's buildings.

If there was a Heaven (or Hell), the late Mr. Campinos would surely be spitting down at his son António.
