Summary: Some time soon we'll start an important series about the EPO, seeing that the management of the EPO is panicking and trying to put out the fire created by prior ones (more on that shortly)

THE management of the EPO will never publicly admit it (Benoît Battistelli would just attack the messengers when he faced public embarrassment, whereas António Campinos does not do this as much), but we've noticed that each time an EPO scandal is revealed the messaging strategy of the EPO changes accordingly. This means that the publication has impact -- though that's the sort of message they try hard to abstain from getting across.

EPO examiners and other stakeholders may not be in management positions at the Office, but they certainly manage to set the agenda. The more the public finds out about the EPO, the more angry it becomes; the Office needs to respond, if not by mass resignations then by face-saving moves. More on that in a video later today... ⬆
