THE past month's news coverage about Twitter was music to our ears because it said things we had been saying for a long time. A lot of the problems in Twitter are belatedly receiving light, including the bots and the spam, not to mention interference by states. See "Twitter grapples with Chinese spam obscuring news of protests" (Jeff Bezos Post) and countless articles like this one in our batches of daily links (almost a dozen in total, certainly more than half a dozen). This isn't limited to China. The world's "democratic" countries do the same thing. They not only manipulate social control media (they have army units devoted to this task), they even join hands with Communist China in this illegal agenda, doing cooperative self-promotion.
