Stick a Fork in Firefox, It's Developed With Proprietary Software of Microsoft
And not to mention, it also contains DRM and spyware already; this is death of the Open Web [1, 2]
THIS is bad news, wrapped up as seemingly (on the surface) good news.
While it's unclear how much of a role Microsoft's proprietary prison will play in this (wording too vague), it's a bad start and not the first time Mozilla outsources processes to Microsoft's proprietary prison. Mozilla's Rust took that to a new extreme and there's Microsoft money associated with such self-harming moves. For those who missed it, there are bribes from Microsoft the monopoly builder as it pays projects to surrender to Microsoft, trying to acquire 'network effect' and ensure almost everyone who develops software must have a Microsoft account.
Moving away from Mercurial? OK. Some GNU projects did the same. But GitHub? Whose decision was this? Microsoft is still trying to outsource Linux to this prison. So much for inclusion... █
