Shooting the Messenger to Spite the Message

THIS segment of a Noam Chomsky talk (before his health trouble, which reportedly left him unable to verbally communicate) captures the reasons Wikileaks had come under attacks and Assange was arrested.

The segment comes from Democracy in Europe Movement 2025, which states in its front page that "Europe is ruled by oligarchs."

It says: "They own the apartments we live in, the banks that keep our money, the drugs that save our lives, the apps we need to work, the data these apps collect about us, the oil and gas that heat up our planet, and the politicians that were supposed to represent us." █
