Notes on an overheard conversion while eating dinner at The Cracker Barrel
[If you add up all the possible ways leaving just one peg in the Peg Game, including rotations, reflections and reflected rotations, you have 438,984 ways of solving the Peg Game. If you add up all the possible ways of leaving 10 pegs, including rotations, reflections and reflected rotations, you have just six solutions. It is a much harder problem leaving 10 pegs than leaving one. I'm just saying … —Editor]

April 2nd, finally.
Good morning. A pleasant 5:40am right now, I should be sleeping but I'm not quite feeling like it at the moment.
So yesterday was what people refer to as "April Fools" which is a nice event where you can get a little more silly than usual, but for some it is a universal excuse to do utterly stupid things.

The Existential Boltzmann Brain
In times of youth, I relished moving my living corpse about the world from city to city, discovering alehouses, ruined castles, cappuccinos and random still lives constructed spontaneously from random by passer-bys droppings. In times of youth, times that are now long in my past, I enjoyed entering a train or even an airplane and finding my living corpse in a state of movement in space. The unknown called me, even though much later I realized that the unknown was actually variations on a gelatinous mass I'd already accumulated from a combination of limited travel, observation, reading and simple perception.
I'm "vacationing" with Marisa in Sicily during these days. Though there are enjoyable moments, strolling about the city, munching on sugary objects and commenting on what an asshole Apollo was, a stone resting at the back of my mind weighs any event down with its pressing mass: what am I doing with my time?

April 2, 2024 - Tuesday of Easter Week(W)
He gave them the water of wisdom to drink, alleluia: she shall be made strong in them, and shall not be moved, alleluia, and shall shall exalt them for ever, alleluia, alleluia.
Psalm: Give glory to the Lord, and call upon His name: declare His deeds among the nations.
Glory be to the Father. He gave them the water of wisdom to drink, alleluia: she shall be made strong in them, and shall not be moved, alleluia, and shall shall exalt them for ever, alleluia, alleluia.

Dodo [Ed: Wikipedia, like a marketing agency, gravitates towards what the sponsors of Wikipedia want, i.e. companies like Microsoft and people like Bill Gates.]
I saw someone saying the dodo didn't go extinct because of human hunting, and Wikipedia agrees on that. So I'm guessing everyone taught me BS again. Like, there wasn't the slightest sliver of controversy on that. All of TV, my school, artists, even politics perfectly agreed on the hunting narrative. Then apparently failed to provide a convincing source to Wikipedia.
I mean it's not the first time. But it's always amazing to see. I wonder who started it. I feel like every time I learn about this kind of fake historic fact, it's from a guy in the 17th..18th century.

It only took 25 years for my idea to catch on
There are differences though—my site only brings up the requested material, whereas Sefaria implements a bidirectional “Scroll Of Doom” where additional material appears when you go up or down. I can't say I'm a fan of that, but it apparently works for them.

Using iptables
I have been using `iptables` for many years and recently netfilter has replaced iptables in the linux kernel. I use the iptables command for netfilter, I only use ipv4 so for me, it is the same as before.

Privacy on Gemini
Though, is that true? Is using gemini really more private? I would dispute it.
Yes, Gemini Protocol makes it impossible to track users based on cookies or similar tracking technologies. There are no scripts in Gemtext to communicate the user behaviour to some data hog advertisement company, etc.

Tea Tea Deluxe 1.4.1 Released
The new version is only a bugfix. Previously a teahouse, when funded, couldn't be placed within 15 tiles of a bank. This has been rectified.
That's about it. If you have a current game using 1.4.0 you can safely switch the game to 1.4.1 without issues.
