In 2 years Techrights Too Will Turn 20
But first Tux Machines. Still stronger than ever.
With a countdown clock in the sister site added (JavaScript, sorry), we're now just 5 hours away from the 20th anniversary and we're like busy beavers here, preparing things for tomorrow and next week (till Friday). There's somewhat of a schedule to follow and friends to phone.
Tux Machines isn't a difficult site to run, but it requires constant devotion because news ages fast and speed counts. Last year some ferocious misogynists tried their best to undermine the site and they failed.
As for here in Techrights, with 6 hours left in the week we've posted 158 new pages so far this week - probably another all-time record. Some of the time was spent writing detailed articles that will be published in the future, so there's a delay between composition and publication.
Despite blocking rogue bots, which are denied access to the site, our traffic is still high (about half a million hits in Techrights yesterday), but we've not fulfilled the full potential just yet. Maybe by the time Techrights turns 20 we can already produce 200 pages per week.
Parties and preparations for them will likely slow us down this coming week. █
