Software Freedom is Still the FSF
EARLIER this week Eko K.A. Owen from the FSF wrote that they're "excited to announce that the Spring 2024 edition of the Free Software Bulletin is now available online for you and everyone who cares about personal freedoms to read and share over email and microblog."
We've meanwhile noticed they have 95 left till the "new members" target is met. Some time in the future we plan to write about how the FSF helped us (as a site) and express gratitude for the work they do, albeit not without caveats and sincere reservations. Nobody is perfect. You cannot please everybody.
At the moment the best advocacy group for Software Freedom is the FSF, not any of the fake ones or the jealous ones trying to replace the FSF (or steal its lunch money). So if you wish to support Software Freedom, then join the FSF. They talk about DRM and many other issues. █
