How to Follow Our Updates About EPO (or Everything Else for That Matter)
THIS past July marked exactly 10 years since we started in-depth coverage of EPO affairs, based on many leaks from whistleblowers. We feel empowered but also privileged to have earned the trust of EPO insiders, based on coverage we did about the EPO since 2007 or thereabouts. A year ago we phased out the wiki and instead made static pages out of it; the reasons were practical, especially seeing that a lot of Web traffic is abusive (mindless scraping) and generally expensive (it bypasses caches and stresses the back end). Old pages remain in tact (e.g. Benoît Battistelli and António Campinos), but we no longer update them. We therefore encourage people to follow us via RSS feeds, i.e. directly with updates reaching one's "inbox" or whatever (depending on the program used). We will never do social control media because it would be a shot in our own foot. Another possibility is to follow this "Chronological Index" of our articles. It's being updated in real time. One last option is our IRC network, where feedback can be fed back in real time. Our IRC network is thriving and has been virtually troll-free for about a year.
This past weekend we didn't publish a lot because we're preparing an in-depth series tentatively scheduled to be published next year. Sometimes we write detailed material for future dates. It has more impact that way. █
