What Makes RMS Such an Attractive Target ('Discreditisation' Campaigns)
A reader said, "we should focus on his contributions to society via his work on FOSS and GNU" (that's what others try to deny).
Linus Torvalds is often credited with (and is widely known for) Linux and Git, which he pioneered or started. One could argue RMS's work goes further than this, also in terms of impact and inspiration (e.g. the Web, Creative Commons, Wikipedia), so 'discreditisation' tactics should be expected. We're meant to think RMS is the "great Satan" and Torvalds is every "ism" in the book. Don't be so easily fooled.
