More Microsoft Corruption and Cover-ups
Microsoft is already censoring articles about its abuses in the United States government. Compare the original:
After censorship:
We saw that a month ago in British media [1, 2] (they soften their words about illegal actions by Microsoft). What kinds of threats did ProPublica receive? Did Bill Gates threaten to stop paying?
"Microsoft denies Office docs used to train AI models," says this headline (akin to "Bill Gates says", repeating statements rather than studying the facts and reporting facts), but the exact opposite is likely true and The Register only amplified a denial, after many blog posts had investigated and then showed evidence to the contrary (we have included some in our Daily Links). As we've seen before, they switch stuff on and off to change the narrative and basically lie. For instance, they turn on "Recall" (malware) by default and then when there's backlash or Net uproar they switch it off and pretend the while commotion was just making a mountain out of a molehill. As an associate put it, "Microsoft system updates nearly always quietly change default settings..."
So the denial from Microsoft is quite likely a cleverly-crafted lie. The Register should know better and report better.
Speaking of Microsoft lies, the crooks from Microsoft lied to the US about something being 'free' to build an illegal monopoly and end up with government infrastructure badly compromised. Like the vast majority of sites, the site that reported this had been bribed by Bill Gates and/or Microsoft (Gates pretends it's a donation, Microsoft typically "buys ads" to pass money). For sure ProPublica took bribes from Gates, as reported by Tim Schwab 4 years ago.
The FSS has cited this report and said "Free software is vital for the public and state-run infrastructure of a free society"; it's a good article and "there is a lot of previous material which can be brought up again," an associate said.
The key point here is that Microsoft is a corrupt company that bribes officials and breaks every law in the books, then lies about it, covers things up, even bribes publishers to participate in the cover-up. This often works.
Are there any publishers left that would not accept bribes from Bill Gates and Microsoft? That would report facts and not spike negative stories about criminals from Microsoft? â–ˆ
