PCLinuxOS Sites Coming Back, Gradually
The PCLinuxOS founder jokes: "David was cooking a huge batch of meth on the stove by the likes nobody has seen before when the chemicals exploded and caught his house on fire. He lost all of his computers which hosted the site and associated services, photography equipment and many other things. It will take 6-8 weeks repair the damage. The last time I saw him he was sitting on a park bench covered in soot and drinking out of a bottle wrapped in a paper bag!!! :D"
The Web site pclosmag.com is still offline and it looks like the Web site of PCLinuxOS is being rebuilt. It now links to the Forum and the "hello world" post has been removed:
We don't know what's going on, but at least there seems to be progress. There is certainly work being done on the site. We saw no evidence of a security incident. So let's just be patient. █
