Informa TechTarget's ITProToday is Becoming a Slopfarm Generated by Microsoft Chatbots
Busted. Even the images are slop.
TechTarget announced mass layoffs recently. We saw several reports about it. We put some in IRC and in Daily Links. The other day I also noticed that ITProToday - part of the same network (TechTarget/Informa) was becoming somewhat dodgy. It produced 'articles' about GNU/Linux which were not only generic and bland. They seemed fake. My wife noticed the same and started studying the matter. Upon closer scrutiny and some scans it seems clear that ITProToday is now slop, at least parts of it.
Be forewarned and beware. How many other sites of Informa or TechTarget are becoming slopfarms? It's probably not just this one site. Policy change?
This is not the future. This is them throwing in the towel and trying to 'monetise' what's left before credibility is exhausted and the brands die.
Grant Knoetze, "Technology Analyst", is Serial Slopper (SS), not analyst. Phonies with prompts... is this what Informa is now after? █
Random example, from slop he wrote for Microsoft GitHub the other day (advocating plagiarism)
Awful stuff, and hardly unexpected. They use slop to promote slop. Sometimes Microsoft pays them to do this.
