When Silence Says So Much
They cannot even manage to justify what they did, instead they attack the messenger/s
The crooks and charlatans who brought you 'secure' boot are silent. They don't write any rebuttal to what LWN published and became available to all (no paywall) this past Thursday. We interpret this silence as a sign there's no rebuttal. The report from LWN was correct; it cited high-profile sources, too.
The report basically said that GNU/Linux users with "old" (meaning more than a few years old) PCs may no longer be able to boot into GNU/Linux [1, 2]. The sources cited see this as a catastrophe in the making, a train wreck in motion.
This will happen around the same time as this trial:
About a week later the legal team of the Serial Strangler from Microsoft will act for his litigation buddy, Matthew Garrett, whom we sued a year earlier [1, 2].
Garrett, a 'secure' boot pusher, will need to defend himself in the UK High Court. He spent over a decade harassing me and then he started picking on family members of mine as well. He also defamed me a lot while hiding in a remote place. He thinks the law is some kind of a joke.
This basically sums up how 'secure' boot pushers behave. They just constantly attack the messenger, never bothering to justify their actions when things go very wrong. They're brigading people and siccing other unstable lunatics at them via social control media, which they use as a mob recruitment tool. That will hopefully stop after the trial concludes. We shall pursue full compensation for what they did, even if they hide in "limited liability" shells and in another continent. Due to the knife/axe fetishes we'll also request extra security at the Court. █
