Microsoft's Washington Layoffs Aren't Everything, They're Definitely Not Happening in Just One State in the US

Washington is just more strict with WARN notices

WARN Announcement

Google News is currently (right about now) promoting about 4 slopfarms that cover this week's Microsoft layoffs, but also about 5 legitimate news sites, 3 of which not controlled by Microsoft [1-3] (unlike the first two which wrote about it, spinning it as "investment" in "hey hi"). There's also a report related to "years-long battle against Microsoft after layoffs" [4], which is quite unique.

To us it seems like our predictions of August layoffs - based on whistleblowers who were anonymous [1, 2] - are fulfilled very early in the month. There's likely a lot more on the way, and maybe already more (outside of Washington). Microsoft told the media it was firing over 15,000 workers (probably far more), but apparently that did not go far enough. Given the company's obscene debt, not even a fictional "worth" can compensate for money problems. From what we're hearing, this volatile and fictional value lets Microsoft pay it workers in a fake currency instead of real money. There are restrictions on converting such currency into "real money" (time limits and heavy taxation).

Something isn't right at Redmond. One day it'll become more common knowledge. It should be noted that Bill Epsteingate is currently planting various gloating pieces in the mainstream media about himself (links omitted); they seem to deliberately try to distract from his deep ties to Jeffrey Epstein.

Related/contextual items from the news:

  1. Microsoft lays off 40 more employees in Washington state [Ed: Microsoft Layoffs Continue in August 2025]

“These are very small cuts,” the company said of Monday’s layoffs, adding that they spanned various parts of the business.

So far in 2025, Microsoft has eliminated 3,160 jobs in Washington state alone. Still, its total global workforce has remained largely flat, with 228,000 employees as of the end of June — the same as the previous year.

  2. Microsoft confirms another round of layoffs at its Redmond campus

Microsoft has confirmed another round of layoffs at its Redmond campus, with 40 workers being laid off, as reported in a state filing with the Employment Security Department.

The early August filing marks the fourth consecutive month that Microsoft has submitted a notice for upcoming layoffs in Washington.

  3. Microsoft layoffs: Windows maker cuts more jobs amid AI investments

Microsoft has laid off 40 more employees in Washington, bringing its total job cuts in the state this year to 3,160. The layoffs come as the company continues to invest billions in artificial intelligence infrastructure despite reporting record profits.

  4. Activision developer wins years-long battle against Microsoft after layoffs

TL;DR: Microsoft and Raven Software have finalized the studio's first union contract, securing a 10% wage increase over two years, layoff protections, fair promotions, disability accommodations, and limits on mandatory overtime. This agreement marks a significant win for quality assurance testers amid recent industry layoffs.
