On Midlife Crises
Today (Friday, the 7th of November, 2025) is J-dag in Denmark and also Techrights' anniversary (Techrights and Tux Machines at over 40)
They say "Midlife" is 40 (or 50) and there's a nasty new post at GNOME.org this week:
I only commented on it in passing in the sister site's news clippings because we'd rather avoid politics, but it seems like Rust People are eager to interject politics into everything. That helps distract from their sabotage. Anyone who doesn't agree with what they do (outsourcing to Microsoft and proprietary software) is subjected to name-calling and demonisation.
I'm all too familiar with these tactics. Don't fall for it. Focus on the sabotage, not politics. █
