Victim-Blaming in Debian
Wouter Verhelst (Debian) said about my wife and I, "they brought it on themselves now, didn't they."
I just wanted to correct him (I don't do social control media, where people issue threats against other people to entertain Microsofters). To quote the Judge's own words: "There is not the slightest suggestion that either Dr or Mrs Schestowitz did anything to invite or deserve it."
Verhelst previously did blame-shifting when Debian suicide clusters happened. He tried to blame the person reporting on the suicides, not the people who caused the suicides. As Daniel Pocock put it last year: "Frans Pop chose to write his resignation/suicide note the night before Debian Day yet Wouter Verhelst wrote a blog insisting that Pop had other reasons for suicide." █
