Stop abetting men who attack women in the sciences
This week has only just started, but it already has sad news. A smart person, a critic of slop, has died.
It sometimes seem like good people die sooner than bad people. A cynic might say that's because "nice guys finish last" (or people who are not greedy - people of integrity - are disadvantaged in today's society).
Earlier on we mentioned the lady who had coined "software engineering". Her name is Margaret Hamilton and she died 12 days ago.
"Long before software engineering became a boys’ club — the exclusive domain of tech bros and a mythical force that threatens to either transform the world or snuff it out — it was just Margaret’s thing," the New York Times recalls.

"Good men" have a moral duty to do justice to women. It's not that women "aren't good at math"; it's a myth, an excuse.
If we turn a blind eye to men who strangle women and tell Computer Scientists to kill themselves (yes, telling that to women), then we're part of the problem. █
