WE WROTE about this yesterday and it turns out to be true. The company which relentlessly attacks GNU/Linux and also suppresses Freedom is down for the count (again).

Cringely said 50,000, but Microsoft may make it another 5,000 -- for now.

Haha, and you accuse Microsoft of FUD? Your wording makes it look like Microsoft is laying off more people, when in reality they are completing their overall layoff plans, which were announced in January.

I'm sorry if my Reuters ref is not "credible", but I'm sure at least one of those links you posted there says the same thing. If not, you can always just deliberately misquote them like you did last week.

So they had already said they were letting 5K people go. But here you say:

Heh, I was just about to point out the same thing. Microsoft said back in January that they planned on laying off 5,000 people over the course of 18 months. This means that they won't be finished laying off those originally stated 5,000 until June 2010.

Seriously, learn to comprehend basic english.
