Seems like another collision in names, just like the company which is called "Novell" and makes wedding rings. There is also a real company called Microvell. It makes for pretty decent pranks. ⬆
At this point it would be rather foolish to assume that IBM will let Red Hat just "do its own thing" or maintain its corporate culture, identity, projects etc.
