YESTERDAY was the first time in a very long time (maybe half a year) that we lost work or lacked some sound in a recording. The protocols were meant to be robust, but if during a recording something happens to the sound it is hard to see it (visually). We we've decided to embrace or to move to adopt signal (such as microphone) visualisation software (spectrogram). It's widely used in some studios which record extensively not for posing but for purely practical purposes. A lot of mistakes and accidents can be prevented this way.

Hopefully yesterday was the very last time such an incident happened. In the video above I show the software as it appears on my desktop (Debian 10 with KDE). ⬆
