Even the Doas Camp is Unhappy About What Microsoft Does to Sudo
Yes, Theo de Raadt's opinionated words elucidate the issue with some tongue-in-cheek sarcastic message
After the leadership of OpenBSD let Microsoft do this to OpenSSH (because Microsoft had paid) we see quite a change of tune.
So a reader has informed us that even Theo de Raadt (OpenBSD) noted Microsoft's latest embrace, extend, extinguish attack. As noted in the sister site: "the real story is, Microsoft copied sudo when it made UAC nearly 2 decades ago and then had the audacity to seek software patents on it."
This is well documented. Many don't know or do not remember.
And now Microsoft misuses the name "sudo" (in effect 'Googlebombing' it) while Michael Larabel uses the hostile move for openwashing of Windows and Microsoft (we'll omit the Phoronix link or 'spin' here).
Here is what de Raadt wrote last night:

In the spirit of Microsoft bringing sudo to Windows, it is time we bring Word to OpenBSD.
Same as Microsoft:
1. Not caring about name confusion 2. Not caring about compatible behaviours 3. Not caring about trademarks or defacto trademarks 4. Not asking the original product teams if it is OK.
This is setting the standard as well as Microsoft will do with sudo.

Theo de Raadt is not a GPL fan, but sometimes he really gets it. █
