What They Used to Do With Mono They Now Do With Systemd (Lower and Deeper Down Than Userspace)
Just noticed these updates in a recent thread which is still active:
"There was once a time when IBM was not filled with Microsofters working against it from the inside," an associate noted. "For that short window of time, IBM knew how to invest in and make money from Linux." [1, 2] ("IBM Announces $1 Billion Linux Investment for Power Systems")
Now we have a project started primarily by Red Hat (and managed by Microsoft GitHub, which is proprietary) being managed by Microsoft and primarily serving Microsoft and IBM.
Luca Boccassi became a Debian Developer 7 years ago, i.e. around the anti-Linux EEE era, which included WSL (Windows spun as "Linux") and Microsoft bribing the Linux Foundation to buy seats there. █
