In Cuba, Windows Dips to 'Market Share' of 16.8% and GNU/Linux Keeps Growing (Now ~6% of Desktops and Laptops)
Cuba is not an ally of the US and it's harder for Microsoft to push Cubans around with bribes (Microsoft uses nebulous buzzwords like "AI" to bribe the British and German regimes).
So perhaps it should not be so shocking that Windows fell from 93% in 2015 to as little as 15% in recent years in Cuba. On the "desktop" (mostly laptops these days) GNU/Linux rapidly rose in recent years. Chrome OS at 0.49%, GNU/Linux at 5.42%, and Apple's OS X at only 1.68%...
So GNU/Linux is basically 3 times as big as Apple, at least in Cuba and at least based on this risky assumption these figures from statCounter are roughly accurate. At least they're better than nothing at all. Net Applications, a pro-Microsoft company that uses Microsoft for its Web site, is sort of defunct. █
