Willy Minnoye, Who Helped Benoît Battistelli Break the Law and Publicly Boasted About Immunity, Wants to be 'King' of EPO Pensions

posted by Roy Schestowitz on Mar 15, 2024

As a reminder, Minnoye's term was renewed despite him being in retirement age bracket and thus not qualifying (Battistelli broke the rules similarly to bag more salaries and then a massive bonus at the end). Illegalities had already become the "new normal" at the EPO before COVID-19 broke out. It's like a Soviet era dictatorship with people governing into their 80s. Minnoye also championed secrecy and sought to punish truth-telling, just like Vladimir Putin.

Willy Minnoye: Back from retirement to take your retirement money

AS noted in the teaser yesterday, Willy Minnoye isn't vanishing. He's still submitting input about EPO tribunals (we covered this before) and 'money man' Minnoye also shows up in relation to the EPO funds that Benoît Battistelli turned into somewhat of a Ponzi scheme (while Minnoye was still personally involved).

The now-critically understaffed EPO generally considers Minnoye to be a core part of the "Mafia" and a leading protector of Battistelli. The recent General Assembly spoke about what happened to the pensions.

Now, under António Campinos, the plunder carries on.

Does staff trust Minnoye, who ushered in this regime of corruption (for personal gain), with staff pensions?

The "old fart club" - as some people have called it - is for EPO pensioners; "OFC is the pensioners association," we're told by a source, and this covers the EPO.

Minnoye wants to be elected to the directing committee. Here the agenda in French: (emphasis added by us)

Questions diverses

Did Minnoye not steal enough from the Office, even after he had reached retirement age and his term was renewed/extended regardless (a clear breach of rules)? Do workers of the EPO trust this thug, who repeatedly moaned about me while bragging on Dutch TV that he was immune, to manage their money?
