A 3-Year Campaign to Coerce/Intimidate Us Into Censorship: Targeting My Old "Tweets"

jfs for mjg: SLAPP letter

Related/background: The Real Reason Censorship is Attempted Against Us (and Against Others Too)

AS noted here yesterday, we've been subjected to an aggressive campaign of censorship for about 3 years and, as noted some hours ago, UEFI restricted boot (an attack on all computer users*) was originally the reason for its chief enabler - and Microsoft collaborator - attempting to silence me or, failing that, defame me in public fora (shooting the messenger, ad hominem).

The letter above (one of several) came after he had repeatedly defamed me (and others) in Twitter for years and I I called him out on it (when Google paid him a salary).

He was sending registered post several times, solely for intimidation purposes based on the fact he never pursued that any further, only boasted about it and even uploaded the letters he had paid for - albeit several years later - to his Web site, showing it (off) to my webhost among others.

This was an act of intimidation, but we'll speak about examples concerning other webhosts too. We'll come to that another day.

If that's not bad enough, at a later point he targeted Rianne (the wife) too, as we shall explain in a later part when the context is more suitable and the extent of the extensive 'drift net' is further elucidated. Seeing that I was hard-skinned, he tried all sorts of other approaches. He explored "soft"(er) spots.

UN: New strong resolution on the safety of journalists by Roger H. Goun

The campaign of intimidation and harassment extended to guest writers, webhosts, and more.

This was basically an act of vandalism no better and no worse than UEFI restricted boot. He sought to create excuses for this vandalism, including provocation, sock-puppeting, stealing other people's accounts/names (a sort of identity theft which amounts to libel too, it's not just some childish prank) etc etc.

Some of the people whom he impersonated sent me E-mails assertively asking me to deal with the issue, saying that this impersonation can constitute libel (someone else saying things "in their name", then linking to that impersonation).

All this trouble-making culminated in (but is not limited to) 2023. Calling out the culprits, once caught red-handed, was well overdue. People are allowed if not obliged to defend themselves from such overt, ongoing abuse online.

Anti Defamation League

Strategic lawsuits against public participation (SLAPP) are frowned upon by courts. The vandal knows this because his partner invoked that before. Courts are not for "funny" stunts and 'settling personal scores'. They have many real cases to deal with and they recognise that "Justice is Not Free."
