Ghana: Windows Down From 97% to Just 15%
In Africa, on average, Windows is somewhere around 10% i.e. around 1 in 10 Web requests. The use of mobile phones (typically running Android) seems common, widespread. One thing to note, based on the curve above, is that in some countries the Android-Windows replacement happened as far back as 10 years ago if not further in the past. In Ghana this replacement seems to have been nearly completed 7 years ago in 2017. This presents a big problem for Microsoft as people in Ghana no longer "expect" Windows as the default platform and Ghana is a large country, almost half the size of France and twice the size of most European countries.
What can be expected, based on other graphs of usage, is further declines for Windows. It is something that happens globally as Android has reached an all-time high worldwide.
The doors are closing on Windows, as Microsoft puts it on a suicide plan. █
