Wikileaks Released US Manuals for Regime Change and Defending Against Regime Change
WebM: Assange on important leaks
THREE days ago Wikileaks republished an old video clip. "What I think is the single most significant document that we have released," Julian Assange says, echoes what critics of US foreign policy have long said.
Leaks are important because the very practice of unauthorised leaking helps the general public understand how the world works. Of course Wikileaks does not have a monopoly on leaks. For example, consider the "Panama Papers" or our "Intel leaks". These represent companies and people losing control of their paid-for (false) narrative. We need truth, not PR. Companies and oligarchs do not wilfully disclose unflattering information about themselves. You need to force it out of them sometimes. There's no other way and regulators can be bribed, infiltrated etc. █
