Microsofters' War on Linux Takes New Forms, Pentagon Nowadays Controls Linux in More Ways
IN my personal experience (or sincere observation), Microsofters now bribe the media to ask us to collectively put our guards down, resulting in formerly trusted brands painting Microsoft as a friend (so that we adopt "Linux" with back doors). Microsofters meanwhile continue to attack people who speak for our interests. Microsoft also bribes the key organisations. It's not limited to the Linux Foundation, which updated this kernel.org page yesterday (compare to early incarnations), as Debian is among the targets now [1, 2].
Pay close attention.

Notice the differences!
Debian has still not bothered to explain how a cracker had taken over packages like SSH (inside Debian!). Debian tried to hide it, instead. 2 months have passed and all Debian did was attack the messenger while totally ignoring the message. The messenger gives a public talk in the US next week. He's articulate in the field of encryption and secure communications.
CESG and GCHQ may - as we all know (or should know) - have already [1, 2] entered Debian. Just to be clear, this is the sort of thing they are expected to do. CESG serves GCHQ and one thing they'd be expected to do, if they do their job, is to back-door things, especially those that are not trivial to access via a third party such as MitM/"host". The reality of these things is deeply sad (but nevertheless real) and they operate in the shadows, so their role will (by design) be difficult to definitively prove. The Cambridge Dictionary defines plausible deniability as follows: "the ability to say in a way that seems possibly true that you did not know about something or were not responsible for something..."
They work through private companies; the nature of the relationship is contracting (think Booz Allen Hamilton and NSA).
Remember what happened to OpenBSD when DARPA learned of its Pentagon-unfriendly stance [1, 2]. █
