A New Low: Manchester United is Selling Microsoft Malware
Marketers, not Mancunians*, playing. They force all the players to wear Windows (Microsoft loves monopoly and monoculture).
With the Community Shield, Manchester United is back to playing today ("proper" matches), but the team sold out to Microsoft. Those footballers or athletes are just props whose purpose is to move around ads like billboards ("brands"). They get a red card for removing the ad, even temporarily.
This article says it is a "brand that will reportedly bring in approximately $75 million per season. The new kits were revealed in July."
So congrats, United fans! Now you can pay $50 (or more) for a shirt bearing Microsoft ads! Carry those ads with pride!
Seems like everything is up for sale these days: the Olympics, all major sports, Eurovision, and of course governments, social control media and online policing. It's all sold. █

* In last week's match (or line-up) only one out of 11 was from Manchester (Wythenshawe, Greater Manchester).
