Microsoft's Acquisition of Activision (to Fake Revenue Growth by Buying Revenue) Was a Failure

Golden Gate Bridge in the evening

THE situation in Silicon Valley isn't good and it's getting worse over time because several bubbles are popping and many companies cannot borrow any more money. Layoffs and other cuts become imperative. A new article looks back at a year of Activision under Microsoft (helping Microsoft to hide the collapse of XBox). "A year later," it says, "the acquisition hasn’t proven to be too fruitful. Maybe it will in the future, but as of now, all the news we got to hear were the layoffs or studio shutdowns."

There's already a new article about one of those studios. The Activision takeover has been a total disaster and Microsoft lied to the FTC to let it happen. It also controlled the judges.

Of course the mass layoffs at Microsoft aren't just a Microsoft thing. Dropbox is now laying off 20% of its staff, Twitter laid off about 80% of its staff, and Twitter's founder is again announcing layoffs.

The mainstream media may claim that openings exist, but about half of all companies fake openings.
