I bought some tea
I buy tea about once a year. I also buy a lot of coffee but I have never compared the two. Probably a mistake. At one point I weighed the coffee beans for my Mokka pot and got 17g. I make two of these per day. That’s about 12.5kg per year and probably costs CHF 250.- per year, plus coffee in coffee houses and restaurants.
Anyway, taking pictures of the labels with my phone, relying on the optical character recognition so I can copy and paste this into @babelcarp@social.tchncs.de’s Babel Carp, “a Chinese Tea Lexicon”, and reading the entriss is how I also spend extra time with the tea.

Updates on a lamb
She’s quite the big girl (remember we thought she was a he? continues to show you how much we know. She has a couple of brown spots on the forehead that looked like little horns. Horns -> male. Right? ). She spends the days walking by her mom and trying to suck some milk, while her mom spends her day walking just a couple steps away at a time, just enough to prevent her from getting milk. So, every now and them the little lamb gets a bottle of goat milk, and every now and then I have to hold the mom in place to let the little one leech some milk. Leech some leche, in Spanglish. What? I dunno.
We had the vets come by and take a look at the mom, just in case. Everything’s fine, but we were a bit worried, she has not been acting like usual. After a couple injections of antibiotics and anti-inflamatory she’s back to her old self. But, she hates me now, what with the holding her, injecting her and whatnot, and now she walks away from me when she sees me. I have betrayed this sheep’s trust a lot lately, what can I say.

Engaging less
There's been an interesting side effect of the current speed running of collapse that appears to be going on. Interesting may be too strong of a word.
I've reached the point where I don't care. Don't get me wrong, it's bad, it's definitely very bad, and many many people are going to be hurt by it. I need to be aware of the general undercurrents of what and why is causing it, for the purposes of fighting that sort of shit happening here. As far as what's happening on a day to day basis though, while there is literally nothing I can do, I don't want to know every little detail.

Notions
The notion of a drone in music is varied; it may be a hum or a buzz or a note or maybe even a chord produced by a sustaining instrument. Or it may not be sustained. The drone need not use the same note always; it may generally stay on the starting note but sometimes switch to some other note, a 4th or a 5th away might be typical, especially just before the end of a phrase when the other voice or voices return to the starting note. All this can be notated in various ways, for example with English prose, or as an audio file.

$30: Tang Nano 20K FPGA board
Time to go back to making potato CPUs with FPGAs. Last time around I've screwed around with a Nano 9K, which was awesome and just fit a 6502 with 48K RAM and a few perifs.

So far managed to get the LED to cycle colors (after totally forgetting how to build and especially flash FPGAs). Need to upgrade the Chinese IDE...

Hiya!
I guess this is my first post, this blog will be a sort of personal thoughts page. There’s no schedule or any real order to things. In fact, I might post multiple times in a day.

Devlog 6
Today I focused mostly on the items and list_items area of the API, adding support for sublists organized and sorted by status. This will enable users to keep lists whole but have them organized into sublists (kanban columns) by status. The items can be re-ordered and this should behave like a linked list and reorder everything. The bulk of this work is handled by SQL, the only real Go logic that will be needed is checking whether the status has changed and handling it accordingly. Once this is done, the kanban logic is essentially complete (for now).
