Canonical is a Proprietary Software Reseller With a 'Debian Base'
Ubuntu.com
today: (it now says "Canonical Ubuntu")
Forget about "Canonical Ubuntu". We call it Microsoft Canonical.
Recently, as we repeatedly showed [1, 2], 3], Canonical was upselling along with GAFAM, using FUD tactics. As the above shows (top of the front page), they want people/businesses to pay for Ubuntu security patches and they are resellers of proprietary software that spies and has back doors. They came up with a marketing term for it ("Clown Computing"), insisting that everyone must move to "the clown" or be left behind like some condemnable relic.
Years ago we showed that the installer of "Canonical Ubuntu" was actively promoting Microsoft software, even stuff that is harmful in a lot of ways.
"Canonical Ubuntu" is just Debian with some proprietary things sold on top of it. █
