Geeks Like GNU/Linux
Omarchy (Om[akase] + Arch + [H]y[prland]) - not to be mistaken for Omarine - gained fame quickly because of David Heinemeier Hansson (DHH) working on it and advertising it. He basically dumped Apple for GNU/Linux and invited others to do the same. It seems like some high-profile people follow him, like they did (and still do) PewDiePie.
The Founder of Digg said he had "just purchased a framework 13, to run on there," (on Omarchy); that's what he told DHH, and "I blame Jason" (his confidant). So that's another high-profile person who apparently moves from Apple to GNU/Linux. Digg or Digg.com was really huge 20 years ago (before Twitter, Facebook, even Reddit). Digg became a bit of an Apple cultists' paradise and perished within years. Will the "new" Digg become more focused on Software Freedom? One can hope. 20 years ago in Digg I was pretty much the leading curator/commenter in that area. Then I left.
Nevertheless, it's good to see high-profile promoters of GNU/Linux, including the founder of Ethereum, which worries Richard Stallman.
The technical community seems to be consolidating and rallying around GNU/Linux. █
