In Many Countries People Move Away From Vista 11
Vista 11 has been available for download for 4 years already, but adoption has been poor:
We could not help but notice that in a lot of countries, including rich countries and poor ones, people move away from Vista 11 (instead of to it). One possible explanation is, many PCs have Vista 11 removed, if not to be replaced by a prior version of Vista then BSD or GNU/Linux.
Last summer Charlie Stross explained how Microsoft was "killing" Windows (and itself). Throwing slop into every widget and program is a sure way to annoy users. "It's the latest hype bubble," he said, "now that Cryptocurrencies are no longer the freshest sucker-bait in town, and the media (who these days are mostly stenographers recycling press releases) are screaming at every business in tech to add AI to their product."
It's not even AI. Some of it is just mass surveillance, like Microsoft taking screenshots all the time and grabbing copies, making is a de facto screen logger. █
