Slopwatch: LinuxSecurity, Linux Journal, and the Serial Slopper
Serial Sloppers (SSs) are annoying. As we noted in the previous Slopwatch, which was published only hours ago, Serial Sloppers contribute to fatigue and lessen the incentive for others to produce any original work.
Let's start with LinuxSecurity, which joined 2 other slopfarms in writing a fake (LLM slop) 'article' about 'Udisks':
This fake article adds nothing to the debate, nor does this latest from Linux Journal:
Based on the structure alone (dead giveaway), it's seamed-together LLM slop, as are the following two from the Serial Slopper, Fagioli, whose slopping cost him his job:
He's just slopping away at reporting by Marius Nestor, as usual.
Fagioli is only good at using LLMs and slop image generators. How about this one that plagiarises many legitimate articles (including by Marius Nestor)?
The best way to combat slopfarms it to call out the culprits. Google won't tackle the issue because Google participates not only in relaying slop but also in generating lots of it. █
