'Cancel Culture' Doesn't Work (in the Long Run)
In the past 4-5 years there were many attempts to undermine us, more so after we had caused serious chaos inside Microsoft. They conspired to harm us and they've failed. In the process they also attacked my wife and other family members. This backfired spectacularly. It harmed the attackers.
These people are ruthless, malicious, and corrupt.
In a sense, having the opportunity to write about what they're like and what they did to us is a gift. Because we get to tell the story of what goes on, lessening their ability to do the same to other people (or families).
Being targeted is one thing; understanding (in advance, as in predicting) the outcome of targetting efforts is another. For example, it still looks like the US (or the CIA) has little grasp of what removing the head of state in Venezuela will entail (not only South Americans distrust the US more than ever before; Europe does too, with Greenland being seen as a potential "next target"), seeing that the same government is still in place at Venezuela (disloyal to the invader).
We see mistakes like these all the time; consider the Edward Snowden example (revoking his passport didn't help capture him) and how forcing Julian Assange into 'hiding' in an embassy legitimised both him and his site as the "enemy of the state" (the "taboo" that "powers that be" absolutely do not want you to listen to or read/browse, respectively).
Had the NSA actually listened to Mr. Snowden (or his employer, the NSA contractor), the PR disaster would be averted. They've learned nothing from their handling of Thomas Drake.
Now consider Mr. Assange again, as he's a publisher, not a whistleblower (it is never illegal to publish in the public interest). Short-sighted 'decapitation attempts' - wherein you put an innocent man in a high-security British prison for 5 years (simply because Americans make mere allegations about him) will make martyrdom, it's counter-productive and very expensive to the state (the British state alone, not counting the US, South America and other European nations, must have spend well over 100 million pounds on Mr. Assange alone).
Despite all the attacks, I'm enjoying life, I'm keeping productive, and our audience continues to grow. █
