Carmen-Lisandrette Maris Prepares Audiobook to Explain Software Freedom/Digital Rights to Adolescents, Needs Help From Volunteers
Earlier this year: Carmen-Lisandrette Maris (Mission:Libre) Explains to Adolescents and Young Adults How Free Software Improves Privacy

Mission:Libre strives to teach young people about software- or digital-related rights. A week ago, its founder wrote that she needs help with narrating:
Hi everyone,
I'm working on an audiobook guide on writing for digital rights activism for 11-14 year olds. The book follows Amelia and Daniel, students of Liberty Heights Junior High, as they get ready to give a big speech that reveals their school has been spying on them through their school laptops Webgame-gate style. (If that sounds familiar, the workshop I advertised here a couple weeks ago was a trial run for this).
I've arranged local theatre students to play the parts of Chloe and Oliver (victims of spying) as well as Amelia and Daniel. However, I still need some of the adult parts cast before I finalise my script and record with the students. These are the parts:
1. Kindly Drama Teacher, ca. 3 minutes of speaking.
She's 30- or 40-something and a little eccentric. She helps Amelia get over her fear of speaking in public.
This would need to be recorded via video conference.
2. Female Lawyer, ca. 150 words
She works for a small civil liberties charity that picks up Chloe and Oliver's case. She's old enough to have a daughter in the first year of uni. I'd prefer an middle-class Canadian, Midwestern American, British or Australian accent for this one.
This could be recorded by yourself on a smartphone or laptop.
3. Mr. Fulbright, School Board Member (ca. 70 words)
He interrupts Amelia's climactic speech with quibbles about what the spyware is capable of. He thinks Amelia is cute but wrong and is a touch condescending. Of course, he's hiding he knew about the spying all along...
This is best for a late middle-aged man. The audio needs to be very clear.
4. Public meeting announcer (ca. 50 words)
Another middle-aged man. His role is just to introduce Amelia before she speaks. This audio also needs to be very clear.
If you (or anyone you know) might want to play these parts, I could really use your help. Please ask people you know who like to act!
Thanks.
