  Ubuntu Nebook Remix will have Unity... I think that is based on Mono but I did not checked.
  
  But based on who is advertising it on UF: http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=1478915 I would say it is 100% Mono. In case people do not know, the OP in linked thread is paid microsoft astroturfer, all he does is advertising Mono. Just look at his UF posts ang google his nick.

  The problem here is: Netbooks need a light and lean environment. And Mono is bloated, and sluggish as hell. Mono on netbooks would render them unusable.

  I'm watching this keynote at the moment. David (the GNOME-Do) guy is behind Unity and he's a Mono/C# developer. The software is GPLv3-licensed. Where can the source code be found?

  You might be confusing this with a different Unity that's Mono based.

  But on a side note: It looks like astroturfers are very active on Ubuntu Forums, aside from this one is taking a break from advertising all Mono.

  I recently switched to Enlightenment, and boy, I'm very impressed. Do you know of any Mono intrusion on Enlightenment ??? Thanks in advance.

  You could install Mono on top of that. By default it is usually GNOME desktops that come with Mono, depending on the distributor.

  BTW, Gnome is ugly as hell. And, unfortunately, Enlightenment is based on GTK, so the apps look terrible, even if the desktop environment looks gr8, the apps don't... Pity.

  Gnome once used E16 as a Window Manager but Enlightenment has always been it's own project. Both E16 and E17 are actively maintained today. You can run Gnome, KDE, Window Maker, OpenMotif and other applications with other widget sets equally well with the Enlightenment Window manager. Free software works like that.
  
  Gnome too is highly configurable so you don't have to keep looks you don't like. Gnome has good font rendering and many individual applications are excellent but the environment has been shown to be a little heavier than comparable KDE and alternate window managers. Microsoft's mono invasion of Gnome would be a lesser crime if Gnome was worthless.

  They already have Docky; isn't that enough? (No, silly me. This is Microsoft. Of course that won't be enough for them). Still, I hope this remains an optional add-on to AWN at most, not a core dependency. AWN is quite nice and appears to be a little faster/more "snappier/responsive" than Docky.

  I tried Awn for about a year, but xbindkeys was faster to work with.
