No wonder Battistelli is widely disliked by stakeholders too
Summary: How EPO management treats applicants who are posting documents, aside from the already-obtrusive checks of personal belongings and even their phones/laptops
THE reign of terror at the EPO is terror by the management against staff, yet the management likes to invert the narrative.
One reader told us, "did you know that the EPO is starting to treat patent applicants as terrorists too? (After SUEPO officials and staff in general)."
"New security measures at EPO buildings," as was
covered here last month in light of
this post from the EPO (
warning:
epo.org
link), take this to the extreme. "This is not an April joke," our reader added. "As announced on 14 February 2017, while the automated mail-boxes at PschorrHöfe and in Berlin will remain open, “the automated mail-box at the EPO's headquarters in Munich (Isar building, Kohlstrasse) is being closed as from 1 April 2017. Outside office hours, documents may be handed to the porter, who will security-scan them on receipt."
The above cartoon was produced to that effect.
