EPO Applications a Meaningless Figure

THE EPO has managed to 'seed' lots of puff pieces, at least in English, earlier this month. We can imagine it's the same in German, French, and Spanish. Many publishers are like paid-for PR services rather than journalism.
"Don't fall for their expensive PR charades; they're hurting and they're bragging about the wrong things."Following last week's preliminary look at media spin (a slant of this kind), I've decided to make a quick video and explain why this is nonsense. I've added below the images shown in the video, including the annotation.
In an effort to fake performance and just grant lots of low-quality (and invalid/improper) patents the EPO's management relies on obedient media which neither studies the actual impact nor cares to explain what really goes on inside the EPO. Don't fall for their expensive PR charades; they're hurting and they're bragging about the wrong things. ⬆
