PRIOR to Benoît Battistelli's EPO term it was made possible for staff to know who's coming and who's leaving (as well as reason for leaving). As we've just noted, there are rumours about the future of the EPO in light of growing secrecy [1, 2] and it makes one wonder what António Campinos plans for the next 5 years, aside from his promotion of European software patents under the guise of buzzwords and hype (e.g. blockchain and "Hey Hi" (AI), to name just a few).
