Gemini version available ♊︎Marketing Executive and Microsoft Vice President Both Leave Microsoft
Summary: Scott Howe and David Gosen quit the company, having gotten replacements
Departures carry on at Microsoft. A top Microsoft executive called Scott Howe is officially leaving.
Microsoft said today that Scott Howe, the top executive in charge of its Advertiser & Publisher Solutions group, is leaving the company. Howe is replaced by Rik van der Kooi, CFO of Microsoft’s Online Services Division.
Indeed, there is already a replacement, but it does lead one to wondering if Howe is giving up. More importantly, a vice president from Microsoft’s marketing department is also leaving [1, 2, 3] (printer-friendly). He seems to have had enough.
Chris Lewis, the VP of interactive entertainment who will now oversee the European marketing team, suggests that Gosen has fulfilled his objective while at Microsoft.
Microsoft has many divisions that just lose money (over $2 billion in loses per year in the failed online business, for instance). The departures above are therefore not entirely surprising. █

Scott Howe and David Gosen haven’t disappeared or been carted off to the knacker’s yard. It’s important to know where they went. Evil tends not to vanish, only move around.
