The Past Does Not Go Away, Except From Short-Term Memories

Posted in Bill Gates, Europe, Microsoft, Patents at 3:49 am by Dr. Roy Schestowitz

Superficial ‘news’ sites are being biased in exchange for ‘reputation laundering’ money

Let's rewrite history and put that under the EPO's budget

Summary: People who are drunk on power and money (sometimes not even their own money) like to portray themselves as the very opposite of what they are; but in the age of the Internet it’s difficult to make the general public simply forget the past and “move on…”

THE CRIMES committed by Microsoft for decades never ended. Maybe some of the criticism ended, in part due to the demise of journalism and at times owing to bribery. We’ve given many examples of this bribery and will certainly show more in the future.

“…people haven’t missed the irony of the world’s richest person seeking to portray himself as the world’s most generous person (generous enough to double his wealth in a few years!).”Half a decade ago the European Patent Office (EPO) was routinely blasted in the media for its abuses, its corruption and reputation crisis. The EPO responded by bribing and threatening publishers. We gave some examples of that; we too were at the receiving end. When the EPO is run by Mafia types like António Campinos and Benoît Battistelli threats and bribes are instincts, they’re like reflexes.

Sadly for them (either Microsoft or corrupt EPO managers), these muzzling attempts too will become scandals in their own right; people haven’t missed the irony of the world’s richest person seeking to portray himself as the world’s most generous person (generous enough to double his wealth in a few years!). Many people nowadays reject this fiction, which was paid for (bribery of publishers for hagiographies).

Stay tuned for some big stories!

In the month of May we had zero downtime (no updates to the system or outages in the network), which means Lupa did not detect any errors such as timeouts and we’re on top of the list (the page was fixed a day or so after we wrote about it); Gemini continues to grow (chart by Botond) as we’re approaching the 4th anniversary of the protocol

  7. [Meme] Makes No Sense for EPO (Now Connected to the EU) and Staff Pensions to be Tied to the UK After Brexit

It seems like EPO staff is starting to have doubts about the safety of EPO pensions after Benoît Battistelli sent money to reckless gambling (EPOTIF) — a plot that’s 100% supported by António Campinos and his enablers in the Council, not to mention the European Union

It’s good that the FSF prepares an event to celebrate GNU’s 40th anniversary, but readers told us that the speakers list is unsavoury, especially the first one (a key participant in the relentless campaign of defamation against the person who started both GNU and the FSF; the "FSFE" isn't even permitted to use that name)
